I dropped out of a PhD program to start a no-kill animal shelter specializing in pit bull adoptions in Chicago (we have over 50 available for adoption at any given time). The Furry Friends Foundation was founded in 1998. Since then I have carefully placed hundreds of pit and pit mixes in great homes, and educated thousands about this misunderstood breed. While my favorite dog is a NEUTERED dog, my favorite breed is the American Pit Bull Terrier. My dog, Rocco, is a pit/Akita mix and the LOVE of my LIFE!!
